Cooltours® - Chianti Highlights

Guided driving services beside wine!

As mentioned in the Chianti wine tour section, the Chianti region is popular for the wine production and it is one of the main destination for wine lovers.

Anyway thanks to the experience, I noticed that clients want to have an alternative when they hire a personal driver guide and the alternative is a sightseeing tour more focused on historical facts, medieval towns, archeological sites and a little bit of wine paired (why not?) with a delicious but authentic farm to table meal.

This is all possible in the Chianti area: inhabited since the Etruscan times (9th - 4th B.C), our ancestors, the pre-romans left their imprint in the tuscan culture as well as in the archeological sites such as the Etruscan tombs around Castellina in Chianti, Barberino Valdelsa and so on. Well preserved archeological site you can visit for free during your full day and learn about tuscan ancestors.

Since these sites are close to villages, the next step will be walk and stroll around Castellina in Chianti, alternatively Barberino, then go on visiting at least another town to enjoy the immaculate views and architecture from the 8th A.C.

Most likely you will be curious to taste Chianti Classico, Supertuscans and extra virgin olive oil when lunch time comes and it is recommended to visit one family owned winery, visit the cellars, see the wine barrels and learn about wine making process and taste them paired carefully with a genuine home made meal.
