Our Chianti Classico Exclusive wine tasting tour is a memorable day to enjoy and learn about the history and winemaking process in a specific wine region.

Your day always starts with a front door pick up and throughout the full day, you will be lead by a professional wine guide.

Each winery is selected to let you sample Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Gran Selezione and Supertuscan wines produced in diffrent parts of the Chianti Classico area in order to give you an exhaustive wine experience and we will also include a session of extra virgin olive oil tasting.

We give priority to organic wineries, family owned and authentic locations avoiding the usual spots where others take you.

In the case of private tours, we will be happy to satisfy your specific requests about a particular winery and we will do our best to include them in your wine journey.

Scenic Chianti wine experience

- 2 wineries and a hilltop town-

Our Scenic Chianti Wine experience is a great full day to combine the educational wine and olive oil tastings along with sightseeing, history and medieval architecture.

Accompanied by a professional wine guide and tour leader we will visit the famous medieval towered town also Unesco site of San Gimignano and then we'll go ahead visiting two wineries where you will also have the food and wine pairing experience.

Alternatively we can visit an immaculate medieval village which looks like a movie setting and possibly another small hilltop town like Castellina in Chianti or Radda or Monteriggioni and then we go ahead with the wineries tours and tastings.

Chianti Classico Region

The region is located in a beautiful strip of land between Florence and Siena so it is a day tour available from both Florence and Siena.

The routes we will take are scenic, you will be surrounded by vineyards and olive trees along with hilltop towns such as San Donato, Barberino Valdelsa, Castellina in Chianti and Radda in Chianti just to mention a few.

Every now and then, expect to see a castle, an old tower perched in the mountains and used in the past to control the territory when the city of Florence and Siena where enemies!

About the wines do not expect to sample average "Chianti" in the basket bottle, but you will visit boutique wineries, historical castles or villas, family owned wineries we are happy to support with our tours.

Each winery is selected by the third level sommelier Anna and at each location you will meet the owners and a passionate staff aiming to give you a personal experience.

In this tuscan wine region red wines are predominant since Sangiovese is the typical tuscan grape used to produce Chianti and Chianti Classico wines, but back in the '80 some local producers introduced international grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc which have been used to produce the international blends called Supertuscans and you will be able to taste them as well.

These full days wine tours are not standardized days so besides some samples you can find here, you are free to plan a custom day tour in within 8 hours and as a wine guide and professional driver, I will be happy to suggest you how to use your time at its best.
